Wake Up America: People Kill.
12/29/2012

Genesis 6:11 “Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence.” The earth was filled with violence in Noah’s day. Did this mean that people were shooting each others with guns? Obviously not as guns didn't exist. Yet the earth was filled with violence. What was going on?

We discover that explanation in the very next verse:

Genesis 6:12 “And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.”

"For all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth."

That was the problem in Noah's day and it's the same problem today. We have corrupted our "way" on the earth, particularly here in America. Collectively, as a nation, we have turned our backs on God, choosing to follow our own selfish desires rather than following the objective Truth which God has given us in His Word.

Oh, we may delude ourselves that having a catchy little "In God We Trust" slogan on our money proves something about who we are. Or a politician may close his speech with a "God bless America" after laying out an entirely immoral point of view. But those really are just little catch-phrases that exist to make some of us feel good.

The simple truth is that we've willfully rejected God in this nation. We removed Him — or any references to Him — from public life. We removed prayer and the Ten Commandments from our schools and public buildings. We refuse to allow high school sports teams to pray in Jesus’ Name as well as military chaplains. And we prove this by electing an immoral degenerate to the White House two times.

I'm tired of listening to the wolves in sheep's clothing (Matthew 7:15) pontificating about how we don't know what's really in Obama's heart so we shouldn't be judgmental. To use a theological term, that’s just plain hogwash.

Jesus tells us that we can know a tree by its fruit. A good tree can't bear bad fruit and a bad tree can't bear good fruit (Matthew 7:16-20). All of the fruit that President Ahab has been bearing is rotten to the core and that's self-evident truth. President Ahab is no Christian and it's time to stop pretending he is. His policies are truly vile and wicked and his constant lies only reinforce the wickedness.

Is that being judgmental? Yes, which is what we're supposed to be doing when making decisions. In Matthew 7:1-5 we have Jesus teaching us about not being critical of others. He tells us that we should remove the log from our own eyes so that we can see clearly to help others remove the speck from their eyes. He's not talking about salvation issues here in regards to "judging" but in the things which we're so
fond of being judgmental about: does he make the sign of the cross or doesn't he? Does she hold up her hands when she prays and bow her head or not? What  kind of clothes does he wear to church? Blue jeans? Oh, that's not good. I've never heard him speak in tongues...

The fascinating part is that in Matthew 7:6 Jesus follows up His “judge not” teaching with the following:

"Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you."

If I'm not supposed to be judgmental, how am I supposed to determine who the "dogs" and "swine" are that Jesus refers to? As I stated above, Jesus said we'll know them -- judge them -- by their fruit.

The Apostle Paul made this clear in his statement to the Corinthians:

"But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ." (1 Corinthians 2:15-16)

We have the mind of Christ which means we can and MUST judge righteously as Jesus did. We don’t inject our personal differences into the matter because Jesus condemned that in Matthew 7:1-5. Instead, we look at a person's fruit to determine their spiritual condition. Why? Because the fruit reveals what's in a person's heart. Words can deceive but fruit reveals the truth. That's equally true for each one of us. If our fruit doesn't line up with our words, then we need to repent and return to Christ.

We've turned the public school system into nothing more than a tax-payer paid left-wing propaganda machine that doesn't "teach" our children in the classic sense; it merely indoctrinates them into the left-wing God-less pagan ideology of the day. So all the while we pretend that we're "one nation under God" we've really becomes a God-less pagan society that wants to delude itself into thinking we're righteous.

Our courts aren't applying natural law any more, but personal whims. Why? Because we've rejected God as nothing but a myth or worse,  a fun-hating tyrant, thinking that we know better than He does.

Taking guns away from law-abiding citizens isn’t going to stop the violence. All it’s going to do is guarantee that violent criminals will be preying upon a defenseless population. The real problem is in the hearts of people as Jesus explained:

“But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.” (Matthew 15:18-19)

Cain killed Abel and he didn’t use a gun. The Scripture doesn’t reveal the tool he used to accomplish the very first murder because the tool he used — whether it was a knife, a rock, a stick or his bare hands — is irrelevant. He murdered his brother because he had murder in his heart. God dealt with Cain, NOT with the tool he used to commit the murder.

Take a gun away from someone who has murder in his heart and he’ll just use the next available tool. Common sense should tell us this but too many people in America have become reprobate in their thinking. Read Romans 1 to see how the Apostle Paul explains what’s happening in America right now. We’ve rejected God and replaced Him with our own vile thoughts and desires. We've sown the wind and we're reaping the whirlwind (Hosea 8:7).

Then when one of these reprobate minds snaps and give in to the murder in his heart we scream and yell about taking away a tool rather than how to fix the REAL problem which is a corrupt unrepentant heart.

Some well-meaning conservatives counter this by talking about the need for more guns. They talk about putting armed guards in schools to protect the children. On the surface, there’s some validity to this. I do believe this would be a good temporary stop-gap measure. After all, President Ahab sends his children to a school that has 11 armed guards on staff. Why not use the same thinking for all schools?

But, as I already mentioned, this is just a temporary fix to deal with one of the symptoms of a nation whose “ways are corrupt.” The real problem is still the heart issue which we’ve reinforced by rejecting God.

We MUST repent of our collective wickedness and turn our hearts back to fear the One True God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

Until we do that, things will only get worse.
