Other president’s have advocated for various forms of immorality such as legalized theft in the name of “entitlements” or abortion/baby-killing in the name of “choice.” We’ve had a president who committed adultery in the Oval office then tried to hide behind a misunderstanding of the word “is.” But we’ve never had a president who is so hostile to Christianity and God’s Law that he goes out of his way to shake his puny little fist at God.
President Ahab has been recognized as the “most pro-abortion president ever” (http://www.sba-list.org/suzy-b-blog/obama-most-pro-abortion-president-ever).This is a man who while a state senator in Illinois couldn’t even bring himself to vote for a bill that would demand lifesaving efforts to the baby who managed to survive a botched abortion. A man who referred to his daughter getting pregnant as having “a problem” rather than carrying a human baby. Let’s face it, this man has human blood all over his hands and is apparently proud of it. Those who voted for him worship him for his Godless position.
We used to claim as a nation that “In God We Trust” but it’s clear now the national motto should be “In Government We Trust.” After all, President Ahab believes that we’re under taxed. Why does he believe that? Because he needs more money to be confiscated from those who have earned it, so he can give it to those who have NOT earned it. Why? Simple: to buy their votes in the next election. So now we’re supposed to look to government to provide for us rather than God with President Ahab being the high-priest of this Godless cult.
President Ahab came into office in 2009 claiming that he believed marriage is between a man an a woman. Everyone who knew anything about the man understood that was a lie that he felt compelled to tell so voters wouldn’t know his true feelings. While in office he claimed his opinion had “evolved” and that he now understands that even Jesus would support sodomites “marrying” each other rather than repenting of their vile wickedness and seeking His forgiveness. So the man who claimed to support “traditional” — meaning true — marriage ordered his corrupt Attorney General to not support the Defense of Marriage Act. Instead of mourning over this national outrage, he tells us we must “celebrate” homosexual “marriage.”
This is a man who brags about “getting” Osama Bin Laden, as if there was something courageous about hiding in a secure room while real men did the real work of bringing the terrorist to justice. Meanwhile, as he continues to brag about killing someone, the Pakistani doctor who was instrumental in helping us locate the terrorist is being tortured in prison for helping us. And what does President Ahab do to help? Nothing. Why? Because President Ahab is in love with himself and he makes his decisions on what to do based on how those decisions can be beneficial to him.
Look at how the national debt and the deficit have exploded under this man. He’s driving the country to bankruptcy demanding more and more spending while claiming that we just have to tax “rich” people a little more. It’s an obvious lie that’s easy to prove but that doesn’t stop him or his supporters from perpetuating the lies. Instead of encouraging personal responsibility through hard work and living by a God-based value system, he instead encourages broken families, irresponsible lifestyles, and dependence on others to live.
In the recent al-Qaeda attack on our embassy in Bengazhi, Libya, President Aahab came out and claimed it was just a mob that was angered over an anti-Islamic YouTube video. He kept these official lies going for over two weeks, even though we as a nation knew within 30 minutes of the attack that it was a planned al-Qaeda attack that murdered four Americans. Why the lies? There are two big reasons. The first was because an election was less than two months away. He couldn’t allow his fumbling the handling of the situation to make him look bad. The second is closely related: in all his bragging about “getting” Bin Laden, he also claimed that he had dealt al-Qaeda a death blow. Yet here was that “dead” terrorist group striking another soft American target. Soft because American authorities — including President Ahab — refused to respond to the cries for increased security. And why did they refuse to respond to the requests? Because they wanted to continue the lie that Libya was now a safe and friendly ally to America.
I write this the morning after the school shooting in Connecticut where 20 children were brutally murdered along with seven adults. Already we’ve been bombarded with the ridiculous notion that somehow guns are to blame for this, as if a gun jumped out of a car and started shooting people indiscriminately. The simple truth is that an unrepentant sinner chose firearms as his tools of choice to commit these murders. We don’t know much about the killer — who killed himself — but I suspect we’ll discover he was educated by a Godless public school system which teaches an atheistic point-of-view brought to us by a government which removed God from society 50 years ago. We taught him that he’s nothing more than a slightly more evolved animal. Then when he acted out what he was taught, we sit back and wonder how this could happen. And then we had to watch as President Ahab attempted to cry crocodile tears so he could pretend he was “moved” by all of this, even though the policies that have gotten us to this point are a large reason for what happened.
These are just a few of the many moral outrages this man has committed. Yet every time he gets called on something, he immediately points the finger at someone else. Just like King Ahab did:
“And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.”
(1Ki 18:17-18)
President Ahab has clearly forsaken the commandments of the LORD and has followed the false gods of secular humanism. He claims to be a Christian, yet without any fruit to support that contention, we must acknowledge that this is just another of the many lies he has told us. Before you throw the “judge not, lest ye be judged” mantra out, consider that Jesus a few short verses after that statement said we’re not to cast our pearls before swine (Matthew 7:6). How do we know who the swine are? We have to make a judgment call (also see 1 Corinthians 2:15). Jesus also taught us that we can know the false prophets by the rotten fruit that they bear (Matthew 7:17-20). President Ahab’s fruit is rotten to the core.
Pray that God would bring this man to repentance, that He would restrain him from perpetrating any more wickedness, but also that God would have mercy on us as a nation. We can’t continue to shake our collective fists against God then wonder why bad things are happening. We want God’s blessings but not His presence.
That’s real wickedness, the kind that even President Ahab can be proud of.
